ISHN is a business-to-business trade publication that provides the latest on safety standards across the country, vendor and product innovations, and regular opinion columns written by industry professionals.
Why it’s useful: Every week, ISHN publishes a “round-up” of recent news, which collects around 20 of the top news stories in a convenient, digestible format. They also provide several free eBooks that introduce best practices in specific industries such as Oil and Construction.

EHS Today
EHS Today was previously published as Occupational Hazards until being rebranded in 2008. According to current editor-in-chief Sandy Smith, the magazine was “created for the EHS manager of the 21st century” and focuses more on targeting technologically savvy readers in an increasingly globalized economy.
Why it’s useful: You’ll find monthly coverage of environment, health, and safety topics that address the responsibilities and day-to-day issues of a modern safety manager; geared largely toward leaders in manufacturing, service, and construction sectors. Most of the magazine content is also available online, along with videos and helpful infographics.

The Safety Zone
This blog is an online supplement to C&EN, a weekly American Chemical Society publication that covers chemistry-related news in almost every field, including business and industry. The Safety Zone focuses specifically on chemical safety issues in research labs and manufacturing, in a tone that’s concise and refreshingly unpretentious.
Why it’s useful: It’s a great resource for identifying and mitigating potential chemical hazards in the workplace, and also highlights key pieces of safety and health literature from leading scientific journals.

Occupational Health & Safety
For over 80 years, OH&S Magazine has been a trusted resource for both safety and health professionals. The publication focuses on practical advice for keeping up with the latest regulatory changes and maintaining a safe workplace.
Why it’s useful: OH&S contains articles, blogs, and white papers that go into detail on industry-relevant topics, the most popular being CPR and AED training, electrical safety, drug and alcohol testing, and protective apparel.
